Repurposing for Resilience partnered with River of Art (RoA) to create Lanterns made from waste to illuminate the 2023 Luminous Festival. The lanterns were co-created with young people through a series of workshops targeting First Nations, disabled, CALD and/or disadvantaged youth. Made from recycled materials, these lanterns provided participants an artistic platform to express their stories within the Festival’s theme of Celebrating Place. Installations lit up the Moruya Showground and included competition entries from youth and the wider community. This project was made possible by funding from Festivals Australia
