We’re excited to share our latest initiative, ‘Plate Forward,’ aimed at helping out Mother Nature and encouraging much needed change in our neck of the woods.
Thanks to funding from the wonderful folks at Essential Energy, we ’have converted an iconic 1950’s Carapark into a mobile dishwashing facility, to be used at festivals and events across the NSW far South Coast!
The Plate Forward initiative provides event organisers with a fee for service supply of reusable crockery & cutlery, which is washed on site by our volunteer team using a health-approved, eco-friendly solution for sanitisation. The service also takes care of food waste and eliminates single use packaging.
This initiative promotes environmental stewardship, community self-sufficiency, and regional resilience by fostering a culture of reuse. It provides a full-circle service to event organizers, minimizing resource consumption, supporting energy transition goals, and demonstrating leadership in sustainability.
