This project was all about keeping our community connected and providing access to hands on training and resources, while reducing impact on our environment.
The Computers 4 Community project saw the RfR team join forces with local business champions ‘Tims Computing’ and the ‘Tec Exec’ to bring this fantastic initiative to our local region.
The project gave new life to old computers, monitors and laptops that were destined for e-waste through a hands-on training workshop where volunteers could learn as little or as much as they liked about the repair/upgrade process.
The refurbished equipment was then made available free to those in need in our community, and to the fantastic not for profit organisations that support us all.
This project was a while in the making as the RfR team went about raising the funds over a year, needed to make it all happen. Special thanks to project sponsors SHASA and GoHosting Australia for helping us to get across the line.
