Repurposing for Resilience Solar Panel Reuse and Recycling

Community Solar Reuse Centre Moruya – now open for business

Repurposing for Resilience brings community solar panel reuse centre to the Eurobodalla!

On Saturday 13 April 2024, RfR had its official opening of its Community Solar Reuse Centre, the very first of its kind in Aus!

The Centre is located at the Moruya Transfer Station, 21 Yarragee Road Moruya and showcases how discarded materials and waste can be reused and repurposed for practical applications.

The Centre provides a collection point for used solar panels and associated industry waste in the Eurobodalla and surrounding shires, successfully diverting panels from landfill and providing opportunity to reuse and repurpose this waste.

It also hosts a variety of workshops to help upskill community and is home to a unique waste art space displaying exhibitions from local artists that put a value on waste.

The Centre is open Fridays and Saturdays 9.30-14.30 and staffed by volunteers, with a free drop off for non physically broken panels which is accessible during Moruya Transfer Station operating hours.
